7Bit Arcade Podcast

Another new, exhilarating and down-right delirious episode of the 7bit Arcade Podcast has reared its head once more. This week, we take a 15 minute break from games and nonsense to talk about the Oscar shortlist, as well as discussing the Resident Evil 6 trailer and the rumour that Microsoft is planning to kill off MS Points.

As always, 24/7bit and the Quiz of the week are hotbeds of discussion and finger-pointing, as Matt Mace turns up a challenging quiz. So, put on your Sunday best, relax and join us on this audio adventure.

And lo, as it was foretold in the last episode, the 7bit podcast team are back with a brand new series of the show that will inform and delight in less than equal measure. This week’s show features the return of the quiz, a fiery look at bromance, the on-going 7bit readers choice awards and some exciting plans for the future of these very podcast.

So, as a New Year dawns, a new 7bit special rises from the ashes of 2011. A short and sweet - well, as sweet as we can manage - look at 2012, as well as a twist on the usual Challenge Ben Tyrer quiz is what's on offer in this special, the last before our grand return in a fortnight!

Ho Ho Ho, come join the gang for some festive frivolity as they down their egg nog and proceed to sum up the year in games and the year of 7bit. There will be laughs, analysis and good ol fashioned chop-busting as the 7bit Arcade podcast team wind down the year and get ready for 2012 as they discuss the 12 games of Christmas, the 7bitawards and shock each other with a super-secret surprise of the highest order. What could it possibly be?

So, it's come to this. The end of season 1. It's been emotional for all of us, but don't fret just yet, as you've still got one more before we return with our Christmas specials.

This week, we discuss the Capcom/Namco fight club, we take a gander at in-game advertising in 24/7bit and wrestling takes over as Matt and Callum rediscover their love for Smackdown.

Lordy Lord, is this week’s episode of the 7Bit podcast a corker. We have insightful (rambling) discussions (semi-formed opinions) and hilarious witty conversations (laughing at no-no words) for you to sit and soak in.

Matt decides that his pen is far more important than the podcast itself, leaving Callum and Ben to discuss the next generation of consoles in 24/7bit, Ben tries to argue about unnecessary multiplayer, but fails a little and this week’s quiz features special guest James Hibbard, host of Nerve Radio’s The Rock Show.

Week five of the 7Bit Arcade podcast and tempers flare as this week’s challenge Ben Tyrer is the tensest yet. Secrets are revealed, insults are hurled and videogame music is played.

Elsewhere, the three lads talk about Andy H’s Need to Complete article, the games they wish they had a chance to play, Paranormal Activity 3 and they take another wander through their cheap game collection.

Matt continues his army-of-one war on Nicolas Cage, Callum pitches a Hitman Movie that might be semi-decent and Ben is told to write better intros.

It's nice to see you back again, for what can only be described as a podcast to delight and intrigue in equal measure.

Outside of technical mishaps, Ben tries to talk about videogames whereas Matt wants to talk of his strong stance on Nic Cage. Callum meanwhile faces the easiest quiz in the 7Bit mastermind, while new section 24/7bit kicks off, taking a look at naughty words in games.

Of course, the best way to find this all out is to whip in the ear buds and start listening!

Howdy! We're glad to see you've made it for another episode of the 7Bit Arcade podcast and, for doing so, we've put a lot of effort in to make sure this is the best - or at the very least, the longest - one yet.

After finally nailing down our first episode, Ben & Adam decide to venture back into the topical world of scripted storytelling to talk to you about Jack Bauers inability to die, the annoyance of working in retail and how Wimbledon will once again be forgotten.

Movies take a forefront as we look ahead to the Transformers films and Ben hits on the Green Lantern ( not literally ) as he dissects the superhero genre with what he thinks is right and wrong.

Also on the sporting front, we consider what it would be like to play Baseketball whilst the fact that Adam went to Glastonbury is severely looked over like a clean shaven man at a beard contest; Instead we consider why Budweiser needs to be knocked down a few levels as it really is not 'the king of beers'.
